I read your very first posts months ago, and didn’t come back again until tonight, and read everything since then. I know your evil boss; I had one identical. Incompetent, fearful of being found out to be incompetent, they bully and keep secrets and do random stuff to make you feel stupid and worthless. They don’t care about the organization or it’s goals; it’s their fief.

I left my evil boss and soul-sucking job 14 months ago, and they are still blaming me for stuff. I spent the last year unemployable because I couldn’t use them as a reference, and I was there 8 horrifying years. I finally got an intro-level job here at half my old salary (which was also crap).

I’m sure you know, the other employees there know your pain, and will give you excellent references, and will vicariously celebrate your good fortune when you leave, as they long to do so also.
